"At this point I feel way ahead of what I was last year at this point. Definitely," said Santana, who took the hill for last year's season opener despite battling triceps tendinitis in spring training. "There's no question about it. I can't wait to be out in spring training and see where we're at to put everything together for Opening Day." The Mets ace finished last season with a 13-9 record and a 3.13 ERA in 25 starts. He will throw off a mound Tuesday.
